Red Rooster Overtown is an award winning, globally recognized cultural space that serves as a celebrity-driven restaurant, a lounge, meeting space and entertainment and nightlife destination. Celebrating the diaspora of African/African-American and Caribbean culture, history and aesthetic, the Red Rooster venue draws from the rich history of its backdrop, Historic Overtown, one of Miami’s oldest black communities and was once known as Harlem of the South. The building, as a core destination in the once, vibrant community has notably hosted icons, such as Muhammed Ali, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holliday and Nat King Cole.
